The mma world is buzzing over the latest news release from Cris Cyborg and also Ronda Rousey’s coach Edmond Tarverdyan.

Edmond was interviewed by MMA Fighting and said some interesting words about the ex-champ’s return to the Octagon. This might be her last opportunity to come back since she lost to Amanda Nunes at UFC 207. Video below.

“I don’t know,” he said. “I don’t know. We’ll live and we’ll see. If injuries weren’t there and everything was where it was, we would take that fight and I’m telling you she’s too slow for us. And Ronda will beat her. Ronda needs a challenge that she really needs to be like this person is no good and I need to prove something to the whole world. That’s how Ronda works good.

“And she didn’t have that with Holly, she’s the one that pushed and wanted some aggressiveness before the weigh-ins. This one she has it. She said she cheated before, she’s hurt women and she wants to come and beat her.”

Rousey’s last two fights did not end pleasant.

Cris Cyborg Reaction

You might be wondering what Cris Cyborg thinks about this fight. Lucky for us, she posted a response on Instagram.

I heard @rondarousey coach said on @mmafightingdotcom that he would like to see her return for one more fight…against me. I thought I would share my thoughts on this. If Ronda is going to return for only 1 more fight I think it should be against @mieshatate. When I wanted to fight her it was because she was at the top of her game and she had all of the confidence in the world. She had not been KO'd twice in a row and some people were actually saying she could beat Floyd Mayweather in a fight. I wanted the challenge so bad I almost killed myself trying to make the lowest weight possible just to give this fight to the fans, and she made every excuse for it not to happen. Both of us are now at different chapters in our careers and for me that chapter is finished. If Ronda is wanting to make the fight for the fans, I would still be willing to give them it, but I think it would be better to take place inside the @wwe ring. For her it gets her one step closer to Hollywood and for me it would be another exciting challenge and a chance to test my athletic ability. I also think this would be the best platform for Edmund as he is nothing but a joke of a coach! #ufc219 #CyborgVHolm ( 🇧🇷tradução está no comentário! Obrigada )

Cris Cyborg recommends that Ronda Rousey fight someone else, but if they were to fight it might be in the WWE ring. So is this speculation or hinting at something more concrete. Will we see Cyborg and Rousey face off in the Octagon, or in the Wrestling Ring, or not at all.
